Homework-Mario Alcides Kozlowski-Martes 4 de Agosto 2026,

Title: "Evaluation of a prototype magnetic gear," S. Gerber and R. Wang,  2013 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology- doi: 10.1109/ICIT.2013.6505692.

This selected article axamines the design of a concentric magnetic gear prototype, analyzing its entire estructure in detail using finite element simulation software with the aim of maximizing efficiency by reducing magnetic losses through its design configuration.

Here, I employed two reading methodologies: first, I used skimming to determine that the article was of interest or relevant to my thesis topic-titled "Analysis of the Physical Parameters of a Magnetic Speed-Increasing Gearbox for Design Purposes"  -  and then proceeded to a more exploratory reading (skaning), while also noting down keywords or points of interest to be developed further.

When reading the papers, we should apply some of the techniques shown in the video, as they greatly facilitate and expedite the analysis and comprehension of those texts.

Good work! You selected a paper that is directly related to your research topic and clearly explained its relevance. Your reflection identifies two active reading strategies—skimming and scanning—and describes how you applied them while reading. Your concluding comment highlights the value of these techniques for improving reading efficiency and comprehension.
