I selected a paper who title is “Direct Backward Transient Analysis for Leak Detection in Pressurized pipelines: From Theory to Real Application”, the topic of this work is how a numerical method combined with data measurement can be used to detect water leak in pipes. A high amount of water is lost every day, nobody can see because the majority of this water no escape to surface. If nobody can see then nobody can fix it. This is a huge energy and environmental problem to solve.
To read the paper I used many active strategies techniques. Some ones I used naturally; in fact, I didn’t know that are techniques. The strategies highlight with I used are: Skim Titles, heading and pictures, make diagrams and make links whit other text I have read (mentally).
This active reading strategies techniques help me because my thesis is in a advances state and I am background knowledge which can see easier this topic.
